Have you ever felt at night that you were so much unproductive? What you did in the day wasn’t something noticeable or something that added value to your life?

Many factors are responsible for such unfulfillment. One of these factors is not having a proper morning routine. Recently I was reading “Miracle Morning” by Hal Elrod. I found out this book is full of life lessons and inspirations too. So, I thought today; I would love to discuss a refreshing morning routine. I will discuss the book’s key insights and practices that helped me be more focused throughout the day. First, let’s look into the word SAVERS.

S.A.V.E.R.S. this acronym stands for Silence, Affirmation, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing. These actions should be the gradual steps toward a perfect morning as per the book.

· SILENCE

What do we do first in our morning? Many of us use the screen. Lots of emails, texts, and so on are readily available there. But to regain control, what we need is to be silent.

Now, silence doesn’t mean doing Nothing.

Then what does that mean? It means a purposeful practice of being mindful.

There are many rituals to practice “silence.” You can use any one or combined practices as your wish. Prayer, Meditation, Deep breathing, Expressing Gratitude, etc.

And here, I will tell you about my favorite meditation app named Medito, and it’s absolutely free.

· AFFIRMATION

First, tell me, do you often have a conversation with yourself?

Have you ever consciously noticed what you keep telling yourself in that conversation?

Do you tell yourself positive stuff? Like, “I can do this,” “ I am smart enough.” Or, keep feeding your mind with filthy words; you keep humiliating yourself, saying you are gross, failure, etc.

All these words or thoughts, whatever you name it, are to be absorbed by your subconscious mind.

To negate the effects of negativity and plant a positive vibe in your life, practicing affirmations is a good way.

So, please make a list of your personalized affirmations and recite them with a positive feeling.

· VISUALIZATION

Many people are skeptical about Visualization. If you are one of them, read till the end.

Now, Visualization is a technique to create an imaginary scene in your mind. Famous athletes and entrepreneurs use Visualization to improve their ability.

You can imagine what you want to achieve or which position you want to reach.

Visualize vividly the steps, the procedures, and the outcome, all with your heart, daily.

Are you doubting? That how actively doing nothing but imagining can help? It’s scientifically proven, and you can search “mirror neurons” in google to know more.

Lastly, The best way to visualize is with affirmation and emotion.

· EXERCISE

Physical activities or roadwork is mandatory in a morning routine.

It’s still beneficial to exercise any time in the day, but the morning exercise ritual will help you tremendously.

Even a 5 minute of physical work in the morning is worth accomplishing.

Walking on the road, Jumping jacks, Bunnyhops, any asana of yoga, or any form of physical activity is good for the morning ritual.

Your brain will perform better rest of the day, and your energy level will increase; you will also enjoy many more health-related benefits.

· READING

Do you think you don’t have time to read books?

Okay, then spend 5 or 10 fewer minutes on Facebook or social media and give that time to read books. By the recommendation of Hal, you should at least read ten pages per day. If you read three pages per day, you can finish 18 books of 200 pages after one year. So, now that surprising and worthy of something. Right?

Books are a tool to learn almost anything. Maybe you want to be a good public speaker or a good writer, or you want to know more about health. Many people have already written books of this expertise that can enrich your knowledge. Books are working here as your mentor and can decrease your learning curve by decades. The most important thing is that you don’t have to read books from cover to cover. You can read a book from any page, any chapter that you like best.

For a beautiful, peaceful, mindful morning, you can read your religious texts. You can be benefited tremendously from this ritual

And last but not least, just don’t read books or don’t scheme through pages. Highlight pages, take notes, mark lines, and don’t forget to apply them in your life. Only reading won’t help if you don’t incorporate them into your life.

· SCRIBING

Scribing is another name of writing. If you are like me, you might ask: What’s the benefit of keeping a journal or writing things down? Now, I will share my insights about journaling. First of all, you can get a review of your whole year, which can unlock and shape new thoughts.

. It can focus on your ideas, past relations, present realizations, and life lessons you have learned through the year.

Hal recommended writing at least 5 to 10 minutes in the morning.

This writing will increase your focus, keep you away from forgetting things, clarify your goals, and motivate you to accomplish the goal. In the morning, when your brain is fresh and your brain juices flow, you can brainstorm your ideas in your journal or notebook, or diary. You don’t need to have a fancy notebook or a bullet journal for writing down your thoughts. You can start with a normal pen and paper.

After the whole day, you can summarize your achievements and all of the stuff you find important and get ready for the next day.

You can find many writing prompts on the internet, especially from Pinterest, for personal use. And you can also download these prompts and templates to improve your writing skills and be more clarified about your goals.
